FSC® Forest Week 2026
Forests play a key role in the functioning of ecosystems and in maintaining the Earth’s natural balance. They shape landscapes, produce oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide, purify the air, and provide habitats for numerous plant and animal species. They regulate ambient temperatures, support water retention, reduce the risk of flooding, and help lower noise levels. Large forest complexes are particularly important, as they are among the most valuable natural areas on our planet.
In the face of climate change, biodiversity loss, and increasingly frequent extreme weather events, protecting forests is one of the most important challenges of our time. Forests are not only a source of raw materials and a place for recreation; they are also fundamental to environmental security and our quality of life. Their effective protection requires the involvement of institutions, organisations, businesses, consumers, and society as a whole.
This is why Nowy Styl is taking part in FSC® Forest Week – an initiative that highlights the importance of the responsible use of forest resources and supports the concept of sustainable forest management. For a company that uses forest-based materials in its operations, this is a natural and important area of responsibility.
Participating in FSC® Forest Week is an opportunity not only to talk about the importance of forests, but also to demonstrate that a responsible approach to raw materials can be an integral part of business operations. It also provides a platform for raising awareness among both employees and customers that choices concerning the origin of materials matter for the future of forests.
This year’s campaign takes place from 21 to 27 September 2026 and encourages consumers, businesses, and organisations to choose their “one thing” for forests – individual actions that, when combined, can become a powerful force for protecting nature. Last year, nearly 1,000 companies and organisations from around the world joined the campaign, including 71 from Poland.
As an FSC® certificate holder (FSC®-C120977), our company is proud to support this initiative every year. Together with other organisations, we aim to raise environmental awareness and demonstrate that even small changes in our everyday decisions can make a significant difference.

FSC® certification confirms that the raw material comes from responsibly managed sources, taking environmental, social, and economic aspects into account. This helps us reduce the risk of using raw materials sourced from irresponsibly managed forests.
Caring for forests also means managing raw materials responsibly, using them efficiently, and seeking solutions that extend product lifespans. Our aim is to design products in a way that minimises their environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle – from concept and production to recycling.
Cooperation with our suppliers also plays an important role. We are committed to a transparent and responsible supply chain in which the origin of raw materials and the way in which they are sourced truly matter.

FSC® certification
For us to offer our customers an FSC®-labelled product, every organisation involved in the supply chain must hold FSC® certification. FSC® principles must be followed at every stage of sourcing and processing raw materials – from forest management and timber harvesting to wood processing, the manufacture of finished products, packaging, distribution, and sale.
The FSC® certification system is based on the principle that every link in the chain – every organisation that takes legal ownership of certified products – must hold its own FSC® certificate and undergo regular audits conducted by independent external certification bodies.
