Products used in patient rooms feature seats certified for use by individuals with increased body weight, up to 150 or 180 kg. Raised armrests provide forearm support and allow for safe sitting and standing, as well as for sliding a chair or armchair under a table. The antibacterial properties of the plastic components of the Arn and Hola HYG chairs and the polyurethane seats of the V-Care line have been confirmed by tests according to the ISO 22196 standard (an international standard that specifies the methodology for testing and assessing the antibacterial properties of surfaces made of plastic and other non-porous materials).

The Most Common and Major Challenges in Hospital Space and Equipment Design:
Designing hospital spaces requires considering many key factors that impact the functionality, comfort, and safety of patients and medical staff. Here are the most common and major challenges designers face:
  1. Ergonomics and Comfort: Designing ergonomic furniture and equipment that is comfortable for patients and easy for medical staff to use is one of the main challenges. Each element must be tailored to the needs of users to ensure comfort and efficiency.
  2. Hygiene and Safety: Hospitals must meet rigorous hygiene standards. Materials used in design must be easy to disinfect and resistant to chemicals. Furthermore, spaces must be designed to minimize the risk of infection.
  3. Space Optimization: Efficient use of available space is crucial in hospitals, where each area must be well-planned. Designers must create functional layouts that allow easy access to equipment and efficient patient and staff flow.
  4. Technology and Innovation: Implementing modern technologies such as patient monitoring systems, automated lighting, and advanced diagnostic tools is challenging because they require integration with existing hospital infrastructure.
  5. A Friendly Environment: Designing spaces that reduce stress and promote patient well-being is crucial for their health. The use of natural materials, appropriate lighting, and color can significantly impact patient well-being.
  6. Flexibility and Future-Proof Solutions: Hospitals must be prepared for future changes and adaptations. Designing modular spaces that can be easily transformed and adapted to new needs is essential in a rapidly evolving medical environment.
