19 Choosing a new location We chose a building at 9 Jasnogórska Street because of how close it is from our Office Inspiration Centre (1,000 metres – 7 minutes on foot). Also, we did not want it to be a big change for our em- ployees. Our previous offices were located in the same part of the city, so employees did not have to change their habits and ways of commuting to the new office, or reorganise their private life. What is more, when we looked at the style and nature of the individual teams’ work, we noted significant differences between them. Some of the departments worked in a desk-sharing sys- tem, while others were used to the traditional model, ie. people having their own desks, with the cliché potted plant on top of it. When we confronted the results of the present workplace em- ployee satisfaction survey with the results of the work style and specificity analysis, the question came up: how do we create one office for everyone? How to create one space to satisfy so many different needs? Assessment of the previous offices I have enough space to put away the necessary stuff. My office makes it possible to collaborate and consult with my colleagues on an ad-hoc basis. I feel good in the present office space. My office has a suitable place for meetings that I can use. I can comfortably perform all my tasks. I can comfortably make phone calls. My office offers me the suitable level of privacy.
