Energy is We have the ISO 50001 certified at the Costa Rican facility, which validates our commitment to conscious energy consumption. 760 THE 80% USE 12% SOLAR PANELS OF NATURAL GAS IS MONITORED ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION DECREASE • Almost 100% of the electricity supplied to the production facilities in Costa Rica and Colombia comes from clean sources such as hydroelectric power. • We have 760 solar panels in our two manufacturing facilities, that together managed to contribute 420.138 kWh to the organization’s consumption by 2020. • We built an energy storage system in Costa Rica through a micro-grid of German batteries that became the largest in the country.This allows us to take advantage of the solar energy generated by solar panels to save costs on electricity. • Our facility in Colombia uses natural gas , a clean and environmentally friendly fuel. In addition, 80% of its use is monitored online to prevent waste . • Likewise, we have innovative, high-efficiency electric motors at the Bogota facility to reduce electricity consumption. • As a joint result between both facilities, we had a 12% decrease in electricity consumption during 2020.
