4 Local development > We will continue our commitment to local development and support for organisations from the Podkarpackie Province. > We will continue to organise the Charity Balls, an organised party event for children and young people from childcare centres in the Podkarpackie Province. Commitments for 2022–2023: GRI 103-2 GRI 103-3 GRI 413-1 Nowy Styl is an international company. Nevertheless, we do not forget about our roots, which is why our commitment is focused on local communities, mainly from the Podkar- packie Province. We want to be an active member of the communities where we have our offices and plants, as they are strongly influenced by our company’s operations on a daily basis. Our social commitment is guided by the following prin- ciples: > localness – we focus our social commitment on initi- atives implemented on a regional and local level – in locations directly affected by the company’s operations; > continuation – we are aware of how the stability and predictability of our commitment is important to local communities, so we strive to maintain relationships once established. We have chosen the priorities for our commitment taking into account considering the most important needs of local communities. We also mind the potential effective- ness of Nowy Styl’s impact. We take decisions concerning support for new projects based on-guidelines stipulated in our Donations, Social Commitment and Sponsorship Policy . 63
