Toyota Case study EN
Together with Heiko Twellmann we approach the window. From this height we can see that the city has mostly retained the aristocratic character of the late 19 th century, when the best known historical buildings were constructed in Vienna . Above the buildings composed of several storeys we can see the Gothic tower of St. Stephen’s cathedral. Modern skyscrapers are few and far between. The metropolis seems to have frozen in the Golden Age of the empire. But it’s just an illusion. The capital of Austria is number one in Europe and in the world when it comes to the quality of life and opportunities for devel- opment. The dynamic progress hides under the cloak of red, oxidised roof- tops. And this is exactly what Vienna is like: slightly reserved at first sight, but vibrant and energetic deep inside. It is much like the Wiener Melange – the local speciality. In this coffee drink a smooth milk froth covers a unique blend of power and taste. The same can be said of the new Toyota office. On the top: on the left – view of Vienna from the Toyota office; on the right – St. Stephen’s cathedral in Vienna. The capital of Austria has long been regarded as one of the best places to live in. It was often dubbed the best such place in the world. Vienna is praised by experts and, most importantly, by its inhabitants, for advanced infrastructure, social policy, safety, access to green areas and health care, cuisine that draws on the traditions of the former empire and, last but not least, for its historical places and art.
