Toyota Case study EN
Among the few thousand employees of the Miyatta plant owned by Lexus only about twenty enjoy the title of Takumi . Each of these master craftsmen focuses on a single element in the production process. Making sure this element is perfect is the passion, if not obsession, of the Takumi . Specialists known as Takumi , or “guardians of quality” are the best engineers involved in designing Lexus cars. They are the most experienced craftsmen with years of experience and acute sense of touch, which is an absolute ne- cessity in order to guarantee the utmost perfection of each and every detail of the vehicle. Sense of touch is also important when it comes to crafting furniture. You can observe it in our Wood Processing Plant in Rzepedź, where our most ex- perienced specialists focus on finishing wooden elements. The knowledge and skill of master craftsmen are often handed down to younger generations. Sen- sitive, expert hands can detect details invisible to an inexperienced eye. And it’s these details that determine the quality of our products. Our clients appreciate this quality, because they also realise the importance of details in their everyday business. That’s why we thought one of the meet- ing rooms in the new Toyota office could use our products from the Levitate line: a tall table and benches. The products from this line have legs made of natural wood, which brings a note of homely warmth, making the whole space comfortable and cosy. The whole Levitate system includes flagship products that prove the sophisticated taste of the user. Above: Levitate table and benches in the Toyota office in Vienna.
