Toyota Case study EN

In the Duo-Back solution, patented in 1990, the traditional uniform back is split in two. Both parts operate autonomously and adjust to your body position. Thanks to this innovation, office chairs are more comfortable and healthy, which in turn means that those who use them can work more effectively. Engineers at Toyota strive to create increasingly better vehicles. The company never ceases to pose new challenges to itself and its employees. That’s how it was the first brand in the world to launch the serial production of hybrid cars – the Prius model (1997). The cars with significantly reduced emission first left the production line even before the idea of environmental protection was widely discussed in the automotive industry. In this field, Toyota still remains an unquestionable leader, with a wide range of hybrid and electric engines and the first series of hydrogen fuel-cell cars – the Mirai model. But we can also boast numerous innovations. The research done by our experts is focused on ensuring ergonomic working conditions in the office. A good example of our innovations is the Duo-Back solution. One of the chairs which currently uses the duo back technology is Xenium. We present- ed it to the Toyota employees, because we were convinced they will enjoy it for years. We also believed that a company that incessantly looks for solutions that boost the comfort of life will appreciate the invention that revolutionised the experience of sedentary work.
