Siemens Campus Erlangen Case study
The campus in Erlangen is the embodiment of ideas proliferated by Ernst Werner von Siemens. The first thing you will notice about it exactly what the German inventor focused on – opportunities for quick and unrestricted communication. This place is transparent, balanced, sustainable and forward- looking. At Nowy Styl, we are happy we could contribute to this project. The largest investment in the history of Siemens is designed to include 8 modules. By 2030 it will have become one of the most advanced Siemens locations in the world. The campus will also be a research lab, an administration hub and a meeting place. Furnished with state-of-the-art construction and energy technologies, in the long run it is going to be transformed into the first CO2-neutral Siemens location. The team of architects from KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten in Frankfurt came up with an open campus, which is designed to bring employees closer to the company and provide them with space for the exchange of ideas. The campus will also include a range of residential apartments and service points. The whole investment is supposed to cover an area of 0.54km 2 . In this case study we are going to tell you about the first part of the project – Module 1 completed in 2020.
