40 Evaluation We assume that a new office project does not end when you move into the new space. We always encourage customers to treat their new office like any other business project or activity and subject it to evaluation. This allows the customer to verify whether the expected results and objectives have been met, if the employees feel good in the new reality and, finally, if any improvements or corrections are needed to ensure the space supports comforta- ble work even better. We too conducted an evaluation study after working in the new space for five months. Since we had decided to carry out a workspace study before the start of the project, we were able to compare the results before and after the office change (pre- and post-test). The results showed improvement in key areas. First of all, employee satisfaction with the office space grew significantly. An office is a living organism It has now reached 92%. The group of very satisfied employees grew as well. In our previous offices, it accounted for only 20%, while now it includes almost 60% of all employees. There was also large improvement in collaboration between departments, which we were particularly interested in. Employees also gave higher notes to the quality of joint projects between departments due to aspects such as time management, problem solving, decision making, speed of information flow and planning. There is a lot of talk about different types of modern offices. The example of our company shows that various settings and solu- tions (cellular, open space, desk-sharing and multiple zones) can be combined in one office space, if necessary. In the case of our company, the need for this was very clear, and resulted in a diverse space which supports different styles of work.
