In 2021, we completed an investment project to help manage sludge generated in the metal material grinding process at the Metal Production Plant. The filtration method used there employs a flow-based system. The first stage of filtration involves running coolant through a magnetic filter, which retains approx. 30% of the recyclable material, while the remaining waste is deposited in a “tank” (decanter) with a capacity of 1 m 3 . The coolant is recycled to be reused and the waste is disposed of. Before the introduction of the filtration process, we disposed of 48,234 Mg, whereas after the change of the filtration technology we disposed of 18,025 Mg of waste. We managed to reduce the amount of waste by 62%. 151
